Sunrise Over Sea

Good morning. Here is a fine sunrise full of memories in Garden City, SC. There were several mornings that week that I got to share the morning beauty with my mother and my daughter. I do suppose we were the only three people in the World looking over the ocean and the solar sensation that morning. What a treat.

Foggy Fall Night

This was a restless night last fall when the temperature was changing and the fog was intense. I found myself at 1:30am packing up a tripod, grabbing a coat and heading out. The pale yellow street lights were brilliant assistants in pulling these shots together. It was mostly an exercise is pushing the boundaries on my camera and seeing what I could capture.

Botany Bay, a forgotten beach.

There is a small tucked away section of beach in SC that has recently opened to the public. It was a private estate that donated land to the Dept of Parks. It is an amazing escape from reality to a place that is prehistoric and primative. Here is a glimpse at Botany Bay.

Assorted Flora

I have a strong affinity to flowers and thoroughly enjoy the macro perspective into that world. I see things differently during these times and immerse myelf into the garden, flower patch or roadside bed. It has changed how I see some of the natural beauty in this world. Here is a small selection of the hundreds in my collections.

Fort Frederick, Maryland

This was a field trip I took with my daughter to Fort Frederick. I was remembering some fond memories of when I was there with her as a child. We had a grand day.

South Hill VA. Oct 2008

There once was a time... my Jeep broke down in a small VA town and I spent nearly three days biding time while the "experts" stacked hours and parts onto my bill. I found myself killing time around the station as I was waiting for the next word from them.

These photographs were taken at my dear friends estate on the island of Terceira, Azores, Portugal. For those that really know me, this place is warm in my heart. I relish my memories from living there and enjoy every visit back that I am so fortunate to make.

Photo Communique
