I found this dragonfly floating in a small creek.  As you can see it had a broken wing.  It was still alive and struggling to move. I lifted it from the water and placed it in a small bush.  Hopefully it dried out and found a way to move on.  It was about 6" wingtips across.  

the memory lingers

What do you do with an ordinary snapshot?  Sometimes you come across a setting or subject that you are sure will be a great photograph.  You fire off a couple of frames to capture it.  You get home, look them over and realize that what the camera saw is not what you saw.  What do you do?  Is it lost?  Look closely, the memory you were looking to capture is still there.  Now what are you going to do with it?

Here is another fog shot that I have worked over pretty good.  The vibe and energy of a photograph can be manipulated in mysterious and powerful ways.  If you can convey your inner perceptions... you've done good.

I drive by this tree often...  never has it been so formidable.  It's strength brings it through the fog to be seen as a pillar of nature.  A guide to all those around.  Obscure, yes, but no less powerful.

I have been drawn to color and form lately.  The composition of shape and the progression of lines and contour.  Taking a photo of a hot tub can easily be so snapshot.  As with most images, I'm looking for a new perspective, a way to see the subject without just looking at the subject.  Do you ever see things differently?
