Brenda Photo Challenge: Spring.

Here sits this pair of rocking chairs on my front porch.  The intent was too sit out there and enjoy coffee in the mornings or a cold glass of sweet iced tea in the evenings.  This past week was busy and consuming.  The hours flew by and the miles added up.  I fired off about some 1100 portraits in the last five days.  Maybe tomorrow I can take one of these rockaways for a test drive. Thats the kind of mileage I want this weekend.

We recently moved into a new home. An old new home if you will, built in 1924.  The afternoon sun pours in through the front windows bringing heavy warm light.  On moving day, I sat for a breather after carrying in mountains of boxes.  There I felt that warmth swell over me and cast my likeness onto the old plaster walls.  The wavy glass, like water, rippled and bent the light.  I reached straight for the camera.

As the Spring season beings new life and growth to our days...  we finds new ways to bloom.

My life the last two weeks has been high speed with new life and growth.

I must be experiencing a new Spring.

Spring is coming and the flowers are finding sunny days around us.  I'm enjoying this little series and bringing a new creative flare the images.  There is the possibility that I'm just slapping some random filter and brush over my photographs and letting photoshop sort it out.  There is more to it than that for me.  I'm actually blending color palettes and filters from GIMP and Photoshop.  I like some features of each and am finding ways to work them together.  What can you do in your digital darkroom?

I love the flowers that come this time of year and carry for the next six months.  I'm looking forward to seeing them differently once again.  Looking forward to presenting them differently and pushing post production from photographs into art pieces as they grow and mature.  Come along for the ride.

sonic disturbance

I caught this phenomenon image a few days ago at the park.  In review tonight I notice a spatial disturbance in the trees.  The sonic rings are clearly visible low and dead center.  If you notice in the upper left corner is the reflection of an airliner and the contrails it is making while tracking across the sky.  Could they be related?
