experienced through exposure. weather, sunburst and insect creature alike use the leaf hard. the phylum, the slide, the xylem and the cut... this flora stands firm. rigid. flowing, tall. organic leaf green. strong.
This is it! No I mean this is IT!! Can you please identify this color for me! This is THE GREEN to end all greens for me. When I tell people I LOVE GREEN, this is it. This is the color of green I am referring to. Jason this is a fabulous picture thank you so very, very much! Beautiful, exquisite and yummy!!! Did I happen to mention this is the color of green I really, really like?
This photograph was taken in late afternoon sun near the coast. The leaf is from a "elephant ear" plant. My lens was near flush with the leaf aligned with the plane of sunlight. It allowed for the main leaf vein to cast shadow across the far side. Looking at it I could see a thousand different greens. It was beautiful.
Just wanted to thank you for the comments and also let you know that was literally one of my first pictures with my new lens. Man learning about that lens 'hands on' is a completely different experience. It has been a total blast but completely different than anything I have ever learned. Thanks also for the background of your picture it is simply gorgeous!
Great picture. In fact I like what you're doing with this blog - it's quite different from most others. Do you use a tripod? If not, you must have steady hands, it so what do you use?
This is my near daily photography web log. I got interested in photography in high school and have been taking shots ever since. I am still developing techniques and honing my eye. I tend to gravitate toward macro shots, small subjects and low perspective. Have fun digging through the blog and looking at old posts. You will see that I have worked through different processing, framing and display techniques along the way. It's all in an effort to learn something new. All of these photos were taken with minimal equipment and consumer level cameras. You can do any of this with your camera too. Thanks for stopping by. Leave a comment or ask a question. Let's learn this stuff together.

I think the title of this entry answers my question...organic leaf green! I wonder if that is a real color?
