fisheggs

This is a male sunfish guarding his nest.  Notice the small fish eggs under him.

    this was taken with my Lumix bridge camera from the shore... shooting into the fish bed from about 10 feet away at a farm pond. This is a common fish often considered a menace. But I love all of the sunfish breeds... they are some of the most beautiful fish in the world and are overlooked.
