  2. thank you. i loved the framing of it... the long horizontal weighted tones across the bottom and the fine arched column balanced around subject. i like how it draws the eye right into the point of appreciation.

  4. Barb, when I was taking some of these shots I had a theme running in my mind for this blog. I was looking at historical world class art at one of the finest museums on Earth. In doing so, I wanted to see if I could capture the defined beauty and distinct artwork in a way that was point blank center. I did compose these with the subject deadpan center and worked to pull it together successfully. It was an exercise in forcing a change to accepted norms. That's how we push ourselves to develop and grow.
